“Déjà Vu, All Over Again! ”
Yes, it happened again. A New York hero of mine once quipped, “Déjà vu, all over again”, at the sight of something repeating itself. Mother nature has done just that. With more promises of maybe more! Yikes! My Campah may never get out of the snow!
Note: this blog is loaded with baseball euphemisms.
Speaking of my Campah. It sits outside just waiting for action. Like the “Splendid Splinter”, it is ready to hit a home run in the camping season! And we can’t wait! Yellowstone beckons.
Yellowstone Transportation has improved over the years
As spring approaches, the Campah needs to go through some pre-season checks. As it gets ready for May and the camping season, the “Commerce Comet” will itch to streak westward. We plan on taking our time as we will have an extended stay in Minnesota. Pressing west, South Dakota will garner extra stays as well. Missouri River, Wall, SD, and, of course, Mount Rushmore all deserve a visit. Going through Wyoming, Big Horn National Forest will get some attention then onto Cody.
“It ain’t over ‘til its over” as a famous Yankee once said. And we arrive in Grant Village on May 23rd. But it’s not over! it’s just beginning! On May 25th I report to Gardiner, MT at the main office to get my directions for my new job. Exciting times are a head.
Since spring is also baseball season, I made several references to old time baseball. Can you match up the references? Here is the list. Ted Williams (Red Sox 1939 – 1960, with 4 years off to serve in the US Army). Mickey Mantle (Yankees 1951-1968). Yogi Berra (Yankees 1946-1965).
As spring is inevitable, so is our trip. Again, taking advice from Yogi, “If you don’t know where you are going, you might not get there.” I know…Yes, I know.
